William Lack, M.D., is a board certified orthopedic surgeon at Northwest Hospital and the Puget Sound VA Health System and a UW assistant professor of Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Lack specializes in trauma (broken bones) and joint arthroplasty. He enjoys caring for patients of all ages and taking on challenging problems. His goal is to engage patients in order to select the treatment that is best for them and their injury, whether that be with surgery or through non-surgical methods.

Dr. Lack earned his M.D. at Harvard. He has earned multiple teaching awards (one while in residency and two since completing fellowship). His clinical interests include minimizing postoperative complications and he is actively involved in research to improve patient care.
