Shannon Colohan, M.D., M.S., is a surgeon at UW Medicine's Center for Reconstructive Surgery and a UW associate professor of Plastic Surgery in the division of plastic surgery. Dr. Colohan is expert at reconstructive plastic surgery, with a specific focus on cancer reconstruction. She believes that educating patients about their options and involving them in all aspects of their care is key to achieving good outcomes.
Dr. Colohan earned her M.D. at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Dr. Colohan's clinical interests include reconstruction of cancer defects. Her research interests include research study design and clinical outcomes in reconstructive plastic surgery with emphasis on breast reconstruction. Dr. Colohan enjoys teaching medical students and residents.
