Jing Zhang, M.D., Ph.D., is a board certified pathologist at Harborview, the UW’s Cheng-Mei Shaw Endowed Chair in Neuropathology and Pathology, a UW professor of Pathology and an adjunct professor of Neurology, Ophthalmology and Oral Health Sciences.

Dr. Zhang participates in surgical neuropathology and autopsy as well as ocular pathology services.

Dr. Zhang earned his M.D. from the Second Military Medical University in Shanghai, China, and Ph.D. from Duke. He is board certified in both Neuropathology and Anatomic Pathology. Dr. Zhang is exceedingly interested in molecular mechanisms, particularly mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress and neuroinflammation, related to neurodegenerative disease development and progression.
