NUTRITION: Our Program
Services include: Approximately 3 hours of nutrition counseling and/or classes plus attendance at monthly support group meetings.
Initial dietitian visit (1 hour): Includes Nutrition Assessment (required by surgeon and most insurance companies) and information for diet modifications including:
- Pre-surgical diet (to promote 5% weight reduction)
- Post-surgical diet information:
- Diet progression, practice tips, supplements
- Sample menus
- Resources
Regular follow-up visits to monitor your progress and assess for nutrient and protein needs, provide guidance for lifestyle modification, and help you to develop healthy eating habits for maintaining weight loss.
- 1/2 hour follow up visits every 2 to 3 months or as needed during the first year
- Monthly support group meetings
Cost is $250.00 (cash, check , Visa or MasterCard accepted)
Insurance Information: Most insurance plans do NOT cover for nutrition counseling; please check with your insurance provider.
