Care provider performs an ultrasound on a patient

Motherhood is an incredible adventure, and your labor and delivery is just the beginning. As you begin your journey, we want you to know that our staff is here for you every step of the way. Our team has traveled this journey with mothers and families many times before, but we recognize that each family is special and your experience is unique.

Our Expertise

At the Northwest Hospital Childbirth Center, we believe that you, your partner and your support people are the most important members of your care team. Our center was designed to support your entire birth experience and to ensure you’re able to share this unforgettable experience with your family and loved ones.

Being pregnant can be one of the most important experiences of a woman’s life. Along with the mounting anticipation of welcoming your new baby into the world, parents-to-be also receive a lot of new information and must make preparations for their growing family. Sometimes this can feel overwhelming but don’t worry; our team is here to help.

Your Journey

Every mother who takes a tour and chooses to give birth at the Childbirth Center will receive a packet of information designed to prepare you for the adventure of pregnancy, delivery, postpartum care and bringing your new baby home. We hope you find this information helpful but we are also available to answer your questions.

You have nine months to prepare for your baby’s birth but you need to prepare for your baby’s life, too. You and your partner have many decisions to make over the coming months – picking out the proper crib and deciding if you are going to use cloth or disposable diapers. Another very important decision is choosing the right provider to care for you, your baby, and possibly the rest of your family, too.

We offer many options, including the expert care of obstetricians or certified nurse midwives before, during and after the birth of your child. Obstetricians are medical doctors who specialize in managing pregnancy and childbirth.  Midwives are advanced registered nurse practitioners who have completed graduate studies in nurse-midwifery and have passed a national certification exam. Visit  our locations  to explore your options.

We offer a variety of pain management options, including nitrous oxide, that can be used throughout labor and during delivery.

Whether you are looking for a family doctor, pregnancy health care or other services, our expert medical staff includes a variety of providers who will be able to help you and your growing family with their healthcare needs.

We look forward to meeting you and hearing about your family.
