When Scheduling an Appointment

To schedule an appointment, please call 206.668.6123.

The Seattle Arthritis Clinic requires a medical referral from another healthcare provider prior to scheduling a new patient appointment. If you have not already discussed your rheumatology concerns with a member of your healthcare team, please make an appointment to discuss your symptoms and a referral to The Seattle Arthritis Clinic if appropriate. The referral will be reviewed and, if approved, you will be scheduled for an appointment.

Your First Visit

You will receive a new patient packet in the mail with forms to be completed prior to your visit. We ask new patients to arrive 30 minutes early in order to ensure that the new patient forms are completed and to allow sufficient time to complete the registration process. Please bring a valid Washington state picture identification and insurance card; this is required at check-in.

If you are a current patient, please arrive 15 minutes early to complete our pre-visit questionnaire prior to your scheduled appointment. We do not fill routine prescriptions over the weekend. Narcotic prescriptions are not approved via phone and require an in-person office visit.

Canceling and Rescheduling Your Appointment

If you need to reschedule or must miss an appointment, please call us at least one business day before your appointment. Please note there may be a $50 service charge billed to your account for a late cancellation or no-show.

Hospitalization

The Seattle Arthritis Clinic patients who are in need of hospitalization will be admitted to Northwest Hospital & Medical Center unless requested otherwise.

Test Results

Normal, borderline results, or those results that require detailed explanation will be discussed at your next clinic visit. If you cannot wait until your follow-up visit, please call and ask to schedule an appointment to review your results with your provider or one of our ARNPs. You will be contacted if diagnostic results require a change in therapy. If you are signed up for eCare, you will receive the results in eCare if they are normal.

Labs and Other Tests

Lab tests, pathology, ultrasounds, genetic testing, and specific hormone tests are billed separately from your office visit. Typically you will receive a bill from UW Medicine Northwest Hospital or UW Medical Center or other outside laboratories for tests mentioned above.
