About Your Appointment
Thank you for choosing Northwest Respiratory for your management of pulmonary (lung) diseases. Our experienced team consists of six board-certified physicians who will work with you to create an individualized care plan to give you the best continuity of care.
Scheduling Your Appointment
To schedule an appointment, please call 206.668.1558.
When you make your appointment, let the scheduler know the nature of your health concerns. This is essential to allow our providers and staff to plan appropriately for your visit.
For patients being referred to Northwest Respiratory Associates, we make every effort to review you records before your scheduled appointment with our physicians. To check the status of your referral, please contact your Primary Care office and speak with their referral coordinator.
We ask new patients to arrive 15 minutes early in order to complete our new patient forms and complete the registration process. Please bring a valid Washington state picture identification and insurance card; this is required at check -in.
If you are a current patient and have an urgent or emergent issue after hours that requires assistance from our on-call physician, please use our main number and follow the audio prompts to be connected with our answering service. The answering service will page the doctor, who will respond to you within 30 minutes. We encourage you to write down your concerns before calling so you don’t forget to tell us anything, and have your pharmacy name and number available.
Canceling & Rescheduling Your Appointment
If you need to reschedule or must miss an appointment, please call us at least one business day before your appointment. Please note there may be a $50.00 service charge billed to your account for late cancellation or no-show.
Calls are routed to our office Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. The UW Medicine Contact Center answers our calls during those times as well as before and after our office hours and on weekends. During office hours you can often reach our clinic staff, but because our physicians provide critical and emergency care to many hospitalized patients, we may periodically be called away from the office.
Northwest Respiratory patients in need of hospitalization will be admitted to Northwest Hospital & Medical Center unless requested otherwise.
Labs and Other Tests
If you need to obtain an x-ray, please check in at the Radiology Department on the 2nd floor of the main tower on the Northwest Hospital campus about one hour prior to your appointment with us. The Radiology Department is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. If you need to schedule an appointment pleases call: 206-668-2778 Fax: 206-668-6160.
Billing for lab tests, pathology, ultrasounds, genetic testing, and specific hormone tests are billed separately from your office visit. Typically you will receive a bill from UW Medicine Northwest Hospital or UW Medical Center or other outside laboratories for tests mentioned above.
