The UW Medicine Hand, Elbow & Shoulder Center at Northwest Hospital comprehensively treats musculoskeletal, peripheral nerve and skin conditions, applying technological innovations and an advanced knowledge of therapies that yield the best outcomes.
We listen to your concerns and work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan and monitor your outcome. Our multidisciplinary approach allows us to provide the most appropriate care for your needs. Our team includes specially trained, highly experienced orthopedic and plastic surgeons, rehabilitation medicine physicians and physical and occupational therapists. We also work closely with colleagues in rheumatology, neurology and other areas.
In treating acute and chronic conditions, injections and surgeries are often appropriate. Typically, however, we approach patients conservatively, considering exercise, improved body mechanics, physical therapy and medication first.
Continuity of Care Policy
The physicians of the Hand, Elbow & Shoulder Center are committed to providing their patients with the best care possible, and feel strongly that continuity of care is integral to the delivery of care. Continuity of care is the process by which the patient and the physician are cooperatively involved in ongoing healthcare management with the goal of high quality, cost-effective medical care.
Payment and Insurance
The Hand, Elbow & Shoulder Center accepts Medicare and most major insurance plans. Please contact your insurance company to verify benefits prior to your visit, or contact us with any questions. Your insurance may require you to pay a co-payment at the time of your appointment. (This is typically noted on the front or back of your insurance card.)
