Bio

Wayne C. McCormick, M.D., M.P.H., is a board certified physician at the Senior Care Clinic at Harborview, UW’s William E. Colson Endowed Chair in Gerontology and division head of Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine for UW Medicine.

Dr. McCormick believes in holistic are and works primarily with patients who have multiple chronic illnesses. He cares for patients in clinics, hospitals and, if needed, nursing homes and at home.

Dr. McCormick earned his M.D. at Washington University Medical School in St. Louis and his M.P.H. at the UW. He is a former Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar and is board certified in Medicine, Preventive Medicine and Public Health, Palliative Medicine and Geriatrics. His research interests are in the epidemiology and health services use of seriously ill patients. He is medical director of several local organizations, including hospice and long term care facilities.
