Dr. Verena Grieco is a pathologist and clinical professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Washington. Her area of expertise is cytopathology. Dr. Grieco received her M.D. from the University of Washington and completed residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont, where she also completed a fellowship in hematopathology. She is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and cytopathology. Dr. Grieco was recently voted among Seattle Met’s 2014 Top Doctors.
Patient Care Philosophy
My purpose is to provide accurate and complete diagnostic information to our clinical colleagues so they can provide the highest quality and most up-to-date care to our patients.
Cytopathology, especially tumor diagnosis, rapid on-site evaluation for radiology and gastroenterology.
My research interests are largely reviewing cytopathology for clinical studies.
