Bio

Dr. Thomas Sawyer is a board-certified cardiologist with specialty training in echocardiography and nuclear medicine. He joins Summit Cardiology after serving as a staff cardiologist at Tacoma General Hospital. Dr. Sawyer earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle and cardiovascular fellowship training at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in Connecticut and the University of Rochester in New York. He enjoys clinical medicine and believes that the relationship between a patient and their physician is sacred and that a collaborative approach to a patient’s healthcare is important. His goal is to treat each patient as he would treat each member of his own family, personally and clinically.
