Thomas J. Sawyer, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.A.C.P., is a board-certified cardiologist with specialty training in echocardiography and nuclear medicine. Dr. Sawyer joined Summit Cardiology at Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, Seattle, Washington, after serving as a staff cardiologist at Tacoma General Hospital.
Dr. Sawyer earned his M.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, Omaha. He completed his internal medicine residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center, Seattle, cardiovascular fellowship training at both the Hospital of Saint Raphael, New Haven, Connecticut, and the University of Rochester, New York.
Dr. Sawyer’s goal is to treat each patient as he would treat each member of his own family, personally and clinically. He believes care grounded in the relationship between a patient and her or his physician is sacred, and a collaborative approach is important when it comes to personal health.
