Stephen C. Houston, M.D., is a neurosurgeon who specializes in spine surgery. He has been in practice at Northwest Hospital and Medical Center since 2000.

Dr. Houston uses state-of-the-art technology to surgically correct a patient’s problem when the patient has not responded to non-surgical care, such as physical therapy and epidural steroid injections.Dr. Houston has performed over four thousand spine surgeries to correct common conditions, such as cervical, thoracic and lumbar herniated discs, stenosis, spondylolisthesis, fracture, low back pain and sciatica. 

Dr. Houston earned his M.D. from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed his neurosurgical residency and spine fellowship at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. His is board-certified in Neurological Surgery.
