About Melanie S. Lang
Melanie Lang, D.D.S., M.D., is a board certified surgeon at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic at Harborview and a UW assistant professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Lang has practiced the full scope of surgery, treating patients of all ages. She especially enjoys helping patients attain or in the case of trauma, reattain, maximal oral and facial function and aesthetics.
Dr. Lang earned her M.D. from the University of Florida in Gainesville and her D.D.S. from the University of Nebraska. She is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Her clinical interests include maxillofacial trauma, orthognathic surgery, sleep apnea, maxillofacial cosmetic surgery, dentoalveolar/impaction surgery, dental implants, anesthesia and management of medically compromised patients.
Personal Interests
Dr. Lang enjoys family and friends, traveling, reading, biking, running, animals, antiques, coin collecting and stamp collecting. She has been privileged to travel in a professional capacity to provide surgical care outside of the US, volunteering on several occasions to provide surgical care in South America with a nonprofit organization, Hearts in Motion, as well as traveling to Bosnia with another nonprofit group, Care for Children.
