Dr. Brown is a hospitalist and UW Clinical Instructor of Medicine. She practices at the University of Washington Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center. In addition to clinical care, Dr. Brown is interested in the medical education of residents and medical students.
Dr. Brown earned her bachelor’s degree in English Literature with a minor in Human Development and Education at Dartmouth College, and her M.D. at the University of California at Davis. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Washington as a member of the Clinician Educator Pathway, and was a chief medical resident at the University of Washington Medical Center.
Dr. Brown is board certified in internal medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians.
Patient Care Philosophy
I believe strongly in providing high quality provider-patient communication and patient education. Educating patients and their families about risk factors, illnesses, and choices for treatment or management empowers individuals to be an active participant in their health and healthcare.
