Julia Vander Vegt is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University. She is a board certified adult gerontology nurse practitioner. Julia has 19 years of experience in hospice and palliative care, and is a certified hospice and palliative care nurse. She is the first nurse practitioner fellow in geriatrics and palliative medicine in the United States.

Patient Care Philosophy

I especially like working with older adults who have advanced chronic illnesses, including those with dementia. As a palliative care and geriatric fellow, I have the wonderful opportunity to meet the unique healthcare needs of this population exclusively.

Clinical Interests

My clinical interests include dementia, mood and behavioral disorders; pain management; and end-of-life care.

Research Interests

Julia Vander Vegt's research interests include hope and end-of-life care, dementia, mood and behavioral disorders.
