Dr. Jeffrey Ernst was born and raised in Olympia, Washington. His undergraduate years were spent at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma where he graduated Phi Kappa Phi and Cum Laude with a degree in Natural Science. Before medical school at the University of Washington, he served as an admission counselor at Whittier College in California. During medical school, he and his wife, Jennifer, traveled to Kenya, Africa for a medical mission to Tenwek Hospital.

Residency in pediatrics was completed at the University of Washington and Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center. His three children add much joy and exuberance to his life. His clinical interests include providing comprehensive care for infants from birth all the way to young adulthood through the college years. Raising children has added immensely to his practice of pediatrics.

He has truly enjoyed becoming more involved the leadership of our community by serving on the Medical Executive Committee at Seattle Children’s Hospital. He has proudly been a member of the medical team at Richmond Pediatrics in Shoreline since 2000.

Patient Care Philosophy

I prioritize working collaboratively with every family that chooses to seek medical care with me. Being patient focused starting at a very young age adds tremendous depth to my understanding of my patients’ presenting concerns. This early and direct involvement of my pediatric patients in their care helps to create empowerment. I truly enjoy making my medical visits fun and inspiring.

Finally, I am committed to approach every visit with compassion and thoroughness.
