Patient Care Philosophy
I like to work with a broad base of healthcare providers to meet my patients' needs. After 43 years of providing mental health, psychiatric and behavioral healthcare, a primary goal of mine is to de-stigmatize mental health and psychiatric care so that all of the patients I work with receive effective and humane treatment.
In addition to a range of clinical services, I am interested in providing emotional support to staff who work with patients and their families in times of crisis and extreme stress, including Critical Incident Stress Management for individuals and groups who have been traumatized by the experiences they encounter in healthcare.
