Dr. Lazar is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. His specialties include diagnosis and treatment of complex spinal disorders, minimally invasive spine surgery, neuro-oncology, Gamma Knife radiosurgery, as well as skull base surgery. Some common spinal conditions treated include herniated discs, degenerative stenosis (both cervical and lumbar), spondylolisthesis and Chiari malformations. Some common central nervous system conditions treated include meningiomas, gliomas, metastases, hematomas and trigeminal neuralgia. During his 12 years of practice, Dr. Lazar has successfully treated approximately 4,500 patients via a variety of surgical techniques.

Dr. Lazar is originally from Tacoma, where he graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and his medical degree from the University of Washington. He completed his neurosurgical residency and a fellowship in the treatment of complex spinal disorders from the University of Washington as well.
