Patient Care Philosophy
I see myself as a partner, advocate, and educator in helping my patients achieve their optimum state of health. I provide patient-centered, evidence-based care, emphasizing preventive care and lifestyle changes in my practice.
My clinical interests encompass all of general internal medicine. I enjoy managing complex medical problems and using my background in immunology to help co-manage patients with rheumatological disorders. I also use my previous experience as a professional dancer and early residency training in rehabilitation medicine in managing musculoskeletal and neurological issues.
I am not involved in research currently. My research area was studying mechanisms that modulate the immune response. I have found it particularly exciting to see some of the compounds I worked with, as a doctoral student, become actual medications.
