Dr. Terry is a licensed psychologist specializing in adjustment to chronic health conditions at The Seattle Arthritis Clinic at Northwest Hospital.
Dr. Terry earned her bachelor’s degree from Rollins College and her Ph.D. at the University of Washington. She completed her internship at the VA Puget Sound and her fellowship at the Palo Alto VA where she specialized in treating Veterans with co-occurring substance use difficulties and serious mental illness.
After completing her fellowship, Dr. Terry worked at a clinic dedicated to providing evidence based treatments in Portland, Oregon. She returned to Seattle in 2013 and opened a private practice where she works with people experiencing problematic substance use, anxiety, depression, and chronic health conditions. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Terry supervises clinical psychology graduate students at the University of Washington, provides workshops to practitioners interested in learning Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and is a board member of the Washington Association of Contextual Behavioral Science.

As a psychologist I believe in providing evidence based therapies in a collaborative and compassionate approach. I value using a person’s strengths, experiences, and feedback in treatment. Ultimately I hope to help each person move toward a richer, fuller life.
