Christeine M. Terry, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist who specializes in helping patients adjust to chronic health conditions.
Dr. Terry earned her Ph.D. at the University of Washington, Seattle. She completed her internship with the VA Puget Sound Health Care System and her fellowship with the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Her clinical interests include adjustment to chronic health conditions, anxiety, substance misuse, caregiver stress and depression. Her research focuses on stigma about individuals with mental and substance use difficulties.
Dr. Terry supervises UW clinical psychology graduate students. She also provides workshops to practitioners interested in learning Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is a board-member of the Washington Association of Contextual Behavioral Science.
Dr. Terry believes in providing evidence-based therapies to patients with a collaborative and compassionate approach, and values using a person’s strengths, experiences and feedback in treatment.
