David Chhieng, M.D., M.B.A., M.S.H.I., M.S.E.M., M.A. (hon.), is UW Medicine’s director of Anatomic Pathology and a UW professor of Pathology. He is listed in the Best Doctors in America.
As a cytopathologist, knowing that every sample represents the life of someone's spouse, someone's parent, someone’s sibling, someone's child, or someone's friend, Dr. Chhieng treats each one as he would want his own friends or family treated.
Dr. Chhieng earned his M.D. from the University of Hong Kong. He earned his M.B.A. at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and M.S.E.M. at the University of New Haven. Dr. Chhieng is a nationally renowned cytopathologist and presents at numerous national and international conferences. He is a prolific researcher, publishing 175 refereed articles. He currently serves as president of the Papanicolaou Society of Cytopathology.
