Bio
Carol C. Salerno, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. is the medical director of Childbirth Services at Northwest Hospital & Medical Center and is section head of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. She is also a clinical instructor in obstetrics and gynecology for the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Dr. Salerno earned her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Texas in Houston. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Dr. Salerno's clinical interests include normal and high-risk obstetrics, ultrasound, patient education, gynecological surgery including laparoscopic and vaginal surgery, cervical dysplasia, menstrual disorders and contraception. She likes to work collaboratively with patients and offer options for treatment. She feels especially honored to be part of a woman's journey through life.
