Bio

Bijan Ghassemieh, M.D., is a board certified pulmonary and critical care physician at Northwest Hospital and a UW instructor of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. He also cares for patients with tuberculosis at the Seattle and King County Public Health Tuberculosis Clinic at Harborview. 

Dr. Ghassemieh enjoys taking care of patients with all forms of lung disease. He believes that patients should be offered the opportunity to be active participants in their health care decisions. He strives to explain his thoughts and recommendations in plain language in order to help patients make choices that will improve their health and quality of life.

Dr. Ghassemieh earned his M.D. from the UW. He is triple board certified in Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Internal Medicine. His clinical and research interests include all forms of lung disease.
