The community has supported Northwest Hospital & Medical Center since 1977. Today, with Northwest Hospital’s integration with UW Medicine, the tradition continues. UW Medicine and the University of Washington warmly welcome all contributions made to the hospital, which are applied directly to Northwest Hospital’s needs and priorities.

Starting March 1, 2014, the University of Washington and UW Medicine Advancement will provide fundraising services, including receiving, processing and receipting gifts and donations, on behalf of Northwest Hospital and Northwest Hospital Foundation.

About the Northwest Hospital Foundation

The hospital’s foundation has a venerable history, having facilitated donations and grants totaling millions of dollars from the community, private organizations and government agencies. Over the years, these funds have helped create and expand facilities and invest in new technologies and innovative practices and procedures. Among these are Easy Street, a one-of-a-kind therapy environment incorporating a full-size replica of a city street, the Seattle Breast Center, which provides all-digital mammography and evaluation by specialized breast radiologists, the Robert L. Hancock Emergency Medicine Pavilion, and the da Vinci Surgical System®, a state-of-the-art minimally invasive alternative to conventional laparoscopic surgery or open surgery.
